The Artistry of Joey Rizzo
“Chance” ( Risk & Opportunity) is my 14’ Brook Trout Sculpture that started it's journey on display as public art featured in front of the public Library in Bangor Maine. It was then featured in two Holiday light parades before being on public display next to the iconic Paul Bunion statue in Bass park. This link to a Channel 5 news article that was created as the sculpture made a guest appearance at Napa Automotive supply in Ellsworth before its next destination. The crew at Napa have been a great assistance with many of the special requests over many of my projects.
This sculpture will be traveling to Machias Maine to be displayed at Downeast salmon federation for a two weeks before it begins its’ travel to several events throughout New England.
This sculptures creation and intended design is for advocating and promotion of conservation, and awareness of clean water, all wildlife and consideration of appropriate land use. “Conservation cherishes all life seen and unseen as we all must become caretakers of the natural world.”
It’s not just a fish sculpture…this is a traveling exhibit used as an educational tool, it is modern art and shared as public art. It’s not the first I’ve created and I have others elements of this project still in the works to be applied at a later time.
I create wildlife art to bring awareness to the beauty found in the natural world as it inspires me. Mammals Song birds, raptors , ducks, fish. flowers, insects, reptiles and amphibians etc all represented on the skirting around the bottom. In addition the sculpture has informational signage of non profit organizations provided by Downeast Salmon Federation, Trout Unlimited and The Ruffed grouse society, with more to come.
This sculpture is a traveling display on a 20’ trailer….
If you are interested in discussing this display at an event I look forward the a conversation with you when you have a moment.
Below is the most recent news reel with a link to some of my other traditional art.
I do have a resume of my museum fabrication and 829 NY scenic work a charge experience in the movie production industry alone with some other career highlights upon your request.
